About The Product

Across Pakistan, gesso is commonly available as a paste. Paste gesso usually needs brushes or rollers, takes longer to apply, can leave uneven texture, and creates more cleanup. An aerosol spray format makes surface prep faster and cleaner, with more uniform coverage and a smoother, more controlled result. If you want professional prep without the typical paste gesso hassle, this product is made for that exact need.

FAQs

Q1: What is gesso and why should I use it before painting?

Gesso is the foundation layer that prepares absorbent surfaces so paint applies more evenly, colours look more consistent, and the surface feels uniform.

Q2: Which surfaces can I use this spray gesso on?

It is used on absorbent surfaces such as canvas and canvas boards, wood, plywood and MDF, cardboard and paper crafts, plasterboard, walls and murals, and concrete and other absorbent mineral surfaces.

Q3: How many coats should I apply for best results?

Apply thin, light coats and let each coat dry before applying the next one. Do not try to cover in one heavy coat.

Q4: Can I paint over it with acrylic, oil, or other paints?

Yes. It is a primer for acrylic painting and suitable for preparing surfaces before painting with most common paint types.

Q5: Do I need to sand after gesso for a smoother surface?

Not always. Thin coats and proper drying already improve smoothness. If you want an extra-smooth finish, you can lightly sand after it fully dries, then remove dust before painting.

Q6: What causes rough texture, patchiness, or uneven coverage?

Common causes are spraying too close, applying heavy coats, or spraying onto a surface that is dusty, greasy, or not fully dry. Thin, light coats help maintain uniformity.

Q7: Can I use it for larger areas like walls and murals?

Yes. It is useful on plasterboard, walls, and murals, and it is practical for larger areas where paste gesso becomes difficult.

Q8: How do I prevent nozzle clogging after use?

After finishing, turn the can upside down and spray until only gas comes out.

Q9: What is the drying time and when is it fully dry?

Dry time is about 30 minutes, and full dry is about 24 hours.

Q10: Do you deliver in Lahore and across Pakistan?

Yes, we deliver across Pakistan, with free delivery within Lahore.
